First Day in Spain

Good news, I made it safely to Spain! Taking off and landing in a plane seemed like a miracle to me, since I haven't flown since I was young. Everything between, on the other hand, was less than miraculous by comparison. I now realize that jet lag is a real thing that can and will affect your life, but thankfully we had time to nap before going to see the Meseo del Prado. There we saw paintings by Spanish artists such as El Greco, El Bosch, and Gayo. Afterwards we took a bus tour through Madrid, which some of my classmates fell asleep for. I can't say I blame them, but they missed out on the beautiful Spanish architecture. News on how my Spanish is going: I successfully ordered at a restaurant and asked for a WiFi password at the desk! Qué bueno!
